I chose Perú as my first solo trip because I speak Spanish and figured that would make traveling alone easier.  Peru is composed of many different terrains and this trip was loaded with history and culture.  I started my trip in the capital city of Lima where I visited the Larco Museum and strolled along the Larcomar to view the coast.  Then I traveled by coach bus to a town called Pisco where I took a boat tour to Paracas and enjoyed a traditional meal of ceviche and pisco sour. The next bus ride headed to Ica, where I went sandboarding in Huacachina and visited a vineyard.  I visited Lake Titicaca and stayed with a local family on Amanatí Island.  I participated in a walking tour of the mountainous city of Cusco.  The highlight of my trip was hiking up to Machu Picchu and viewing the Incan citadel and ruins.  I recommend traveling to Peru if you are The Adventurer and The Consumer!

The first time I traveled to Egypt was when I studied abroad, and the months spent studying in Cairo were some of the best times of my life.  I had the opportunity to travel to different cities all over the country and see places I had only dreamed of when browsing through history books.  I lived in Cairo and spent much time visiting the Egyptian museum, both camelback and horseback riding at sunset and sunrise at the Pyramids of Giza and enjoying a variety of Middle Eastern foods.  I spent weekends at the historical library in Alexandria and basking on the sunny beaches along the northern coast of the country.  I took an eight-hour bus ride to visit the southern cities of Luxor and Aswan to visit places like the Valley of the Kings and the Luxor Temple.  I traveled east to Dahab and Sharm el Sheikh where I went snorkeling in the Red Sea.  I also ventured to the Sinai Peninsula where we climbed Mount Sinai at night and made it to the top to view the sunrise the next morning.  I recommend traveling to Egypt if you are The Information Seeker and The Adventurer!
